Total 16 vacancies, of which 15 will be for Mumbai/Kolkata and 1 will be for Port Blair of which 4 are reserved for OBC, 2 for SC and 1 for ST category.
Experience.
Experince-Mumbai:Minimum sailing experience as Chief Engineer Officer (FG)should be 12 months as on 30/09/2013.
Port Blair: Minimum sailing experience as Chief Engineer Officer (FG/NCV)should be 12 months as on 30/09/2013. Candidates holding Class III COC (NCV) ORClass II COC (NCV) may also apply.
Emoluments and Benefits-Selected candidates would be taken on a probation period of one year. Selected candidates holding MEO Class I COC would be placed as Deputy General Manager in the pay scale of 32900-58000 with basic pay at the starting of the scale. A higher starting salary commensurate with experience as Chief Engineer officer on a Foreign Going vessel may be considered in case of deserving candidates. The total emoluments would be approx. `85000/- (Rupees eighty five thousand only) per month. However, candidates holding Class III COC (NCV) OR Class II COC (NCV) will be placed as Manager in the pay scale of `29100-54500/-. The total emoluments would be approx. `75000/- (Rupees seventy five thousand only) per month. In addition
to Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance or Company Flat on applicable rent recovery subject to availability, shall be applicable. Allowances/Perquisites/subject to a maximum ceiling of 50% of basic pay is applicable. In addition, a part of 50% would be set aside for medical insurance. The officer shall also be eligible to Performance Related Pay, PF, Gratuity
and Superannuation benefits which will be as per Corporation rules. For Port Blair, in addition to above allowances location allowance would also be applicable which will be 8% of Basic Pay. Local candidates fulfilling above eligibility criteria will be preferred for posting at Port Blair.
